Japan has recently announced that they will have a space elevator by 2050. This amazing elevator will shuttle passengers 36,000 kilometers above the Earth! It will be able to carry 30 people and it will travel at 200 kilometers per hour. The company that will be making this possible is Obayashi Corp. They are still calculating the amount of money that will be used to make this possible, because obviously they can’t put a price on the construction yet. I truly think this is amazing! It’s a dream that is definitely possible and will come true. Imagine being able to see space, the stars, and other planets? That would be truly magnificent. This magical elevator is thirty eight years away. I think I should start saving money now because it is something that I beyond doubt want to be alive for. If the Japanese are able to pull this off it will definitely be a huge breakthrough in technology. It can open doors to other great possibilities. So far, the future has great new things that are waiting for us. Hopefully we all get to witness all these great things in our lifetime because the glimpse of it looks pretty grand.

ReplyDeleteAn elevator into space is an awesome idea! Too bad the Americans could have not thought about this first, because you would have to fly to Japan to be able to ride this elevator to space.
